An iconic Grade II listed building designed by Sir John Soane in 1811, famous for its top lighting. All the rooms are open to the central room. There are additional 20th Century spaces with a new building designed by Rick Mather in 2000 including a glass and bronze cloister, an art studio, a lecture theatre and cafe. The gallery is set in five acres of gardens.
